Dress Code
Most schools have found that children who are appropriately dressed and
groomed have a more wholesome attitude towards school, and do better. The
underlying rationale for the Dress Uniform is that dignity and propriety are
called for in the children’s house of learning and house of prayer. It is
therefore that the Board Of Education of our school adopted the following
dress uniform for grades k-8:
Elementary and Middle School Girls Blouses -White or light blue long or short sleeve Jumpers -Solid navy or khaki (tan/beige), black Skirts -Solid navy or khaki (tan/beige), black Jumpers and skirts must be to the knee Boys and Girls Shirts -Polo style (without slogans) short or long sleeve, any solid color Turtlenecks (without slogans) same colors Oxford style (button down) short or long sleeve, white, light blue, solid colors Pants -Solid navy, khaki or black chinos in any of the following styles; pleated, non-pleated, non-baggy cargo, corduroy (elastic waist band is OK) NO CAPRI PANTS Sweaters, Vests, sweatshirts -any color without writing Special dress for Fridays – All Grades Boys and Girls Friday will be blue and white day-Students will wear blue bottoms (girls in skirts), and white shirts, no ties for boys will be required. Boys and Girls Shoes: Shoes and sneakers must be flat and have a back. Sandals are fine as long as they have a back strap. This is for the safety of the children. As a reminder to students and parents pants for both boys and girls must be waist high, and shirts must cover the mid-section of the body. Belts must be worn if necessary. Kippot Kippot are required for all men and boys at all times while in the building. The administration reserves the right to notify parents when children come to school with inappropriate attire and to bar those children from attending class until the matter is rectified. |
